Syracuse Side Hustles is a podcast about those chasing second jobs in the Salt City. Students from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications produced this as their capstone experience in the spring of 2019.
I served as Executive Editor on the project, leading a team of 20 in the development and production of this multimedia series profiling 12 local subjects. I mastered and mixed the episodes’ final cuts, incorporating soundscapes and music. I also conducted in-depth interviews, wrote and edited scripts, completed the fact-checking and copy editing of the episode transcripts and website text, and evaluated all field recordings, photos, and video, in addition to filling the role of podcast host.
